Customize, optimize and maintain your computer with ease
The process of keeping your computer running smoothly can seem like a full-time job sometimes. MAGIX PC Check & Tuning 2012 is an app that aims to make things a little easier by making it possible to optimize and maintain the performance of your system, keep drivers and software up to date, fix problems and benchmark hardware. While there is a single program to install, PC Check & Tuning is essentially a suite of several tool, and you can pick and choose which you use.
The program interface is divided up into seven main sections, with the PC Check section which provides one-click access to system optimization and problem fixing. This can be used to clear out unnecessary files, defragment hard drives, as well as taking control of startup items and services. Here you can also optimize the registry and swap file, and the program will check for updates for hardware drivers and for software you have installed.
Moving to the increase performance section you can run all of the same options on a manual basis and the Free Up Memory section is home to a number of tools. You can remove unwanted files from your hard drive, securely delete files so they can't be recovered and easily uninstall programs you no longer need.
If you've ever wanted to know how your computer compares to others, the Performance Check tab will be of interest. Here you can benchmark your system and see how the individual components stack up against the competition. Options to customize the appearance and operation of Windows can be found in the Configure Windows section, while the Info tab tells you everything you could possibly need to know about your computer, the hardware and software you have installed and the self-explanatory Save Power section comes in very useful for laptop users looking to prolong battery life.
